Coronavirus became Bermuda triangle, reverse Pareto effect is happening, should we call the virus, a joke

The novel coronavirus might have gone crazy to a few medical specialities but at the same time the virus has also earned the status and tag of a ‘big joke’ to many, obviously due to the invisibility of both the virus and symptoms of viral infections (asymptomatic people)in about 85% of the population all over the world. 

The lockdown measure taken by Modi has only strengthened the above sense of feeling among people. 

Modi’s lockdown has killed the life and livelihood of many Indians than due to COVID 19 and the best example is the most painful and disgusting death of many impecunious migrant workers. 

The migrant workers may not be Indians according to Modi government. 

We must carefully analyse all the ground reasons for how a virus that has been described to be so deadly by the world can go as simple joke, at least to a reasonable fraction of our population in India? 

Does that mean some people are utterly ignorant and insensitive and hence they see the novel coronavirus a joke?  Before we jump to such conclusion must pause our thoughts for a while and must reflect a bit about the famous management principle called ‘Pareto principle’. The possibility of reverse Pareto effect may be happening in our population and hence the virus that is described so deadly by the world also has created doubts over the minds of many about whether the virus is ‘real’ or ‘hyped fear’ born out of ignorant science.   

The Pareto principle states that approximately 80% of all events occur due to only 20% of the cause.   In economics, only 20% of people often contribute to the existence of 80% of employees in most organization.   

Today the reversal of the above principle may be happening.  80% of the people may be rejecting the likely effect of coronavirus in 20% of the population. 

The best way to describe the existence of novel coronavirus in simple language is to compare it with Bermuda triangle.  Till date the mystery of Bermuda triangle remains unsolved but still many believe all the fictions around the devils triangle are true.  Belief and disbelief both exist together over Bermuda triangle. 

At least at the perception level, Modi tried to convince India that he alone is an expert in novel coronavirus and the rest are fools and that is why he imposed lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus.   How a virus of such communicable nature can be prevented in a country like India.  Does that prove Modi knew nothing about the virus, as well as India and Indians?

Modi is indeed super-intelligent in politics but his political smartness has failed him miserably before the science of novel coronavirus.   

Perhaps he would have thought he can make ‘a new political fortune’ out of even from novel coronavirus by shutting down India and then can claim he has done the same to save the people. 

Unfortunately the lockdown of Modi has killed more lives, livelihood and economy of our country than the virus. 

Coronavirus has outsmarted Modi’s political calculations, it looks like.

The naughty world might have described and caricatured the virus as deadly villain but the reality is that it had not affected about 80 of population all over the world and in some countries even 95% or more have not shown any signs and symptoms of the disease despite some of them being positive for viral RNA. 

The large population may show at best mild or indistinguishable symptoms and then the virus was reported to have disappeared.  Only a very small proportion of people in any population had developed the clinical symptoms of COVID 19 and even smaller number of people in the above COVID 19 cases only had died.  About 80% of the population had gone silent with novel coronavirus.   

What appears to be happening is reverse Pareto principle where the 80% of the population are slowly getting relieved from the effect created by the 20% and hence finds coronavirus to be a joke or fiction.  

The underlying possibility seen among 80% of population although cannot be celebrated as science but our ruling dispensation and medical fraternity only has created such situation by hyping the pathology of COVID 19 like ‘cytokine storm’ in our society instead of creating awareness and sensitivity among people to prevent the spread of the virus. 

As a result of continuous shelling and bombing of updates and information about COVID 19 and novel coronavirus by our media houses and scientific journals by carrying all crazy and frenzy stories about novel coronavirus etc., on hourly to daily basis also has caused serious fatigue among people over novel coronavirus. 

To add more fuel to the fire, our medical fraternity also started to present the pathology of those died of COVID 19 based on the autopsy findings; where the virus has affected all most all parts of the body, organs and can enter into our system through direct contact, nasopharyngeal route, oro-fecal route, direct entry into blood, though semen….. etc.

The third and the most genuine reason for why people had gone mad and hopeless and started to disbelieve the virus are due to the loss of their livelihood. 

Modi from the position of Prime Minister of India could easily sermon to people to live inside the house, use mask, use hand wash or sanitize the hands on hourly basis, follow social distancing etc., so easily but how the poor India can follow all those sermons or Gita-updesh of Modi when they face existential crisis due to loss of livelihood? 

People have started to ask whether the novel coronavirus has come to attack their life or livelihood.  The lockdown of Modi has proved that the virus has affected the livelihood of millions and the virus has not killed as many people as the mathematical models created by some ‘extra-terrestrial brains’. 

We used fear as a powerful weapon to deal the virus and not the science.  Only because of that, even the most obscurant suggestions like Ganga water and other stuffs from our grandma’s kitchen recipe Modi directly or some of his teammates have suggested to Indians. 

Let it be farce or real, not the novel coronavirus, the senseless lockdown measure of Modi has only harmed India brutally and hope Indian can hold their life until the day they get back at least, the old India.
