Coronavirus finds ‘more mongooses and less rat situation’ in India, novel kaleidoscope shows ‘house of cards’ immune defense

Every day, alongside the regular reporting of newer and newer corona positive cases of in India, the scientists and medical experts from different parts of the world (hardly any from India) are also reporting different medical faces of COVID 19, pinning the novel coronavirus to be the ‘ONLY/POSSIBLE CAUSE’.  

Which species of life form on earth in the past has evolved to survive in all parts of the world, thrive in all climatic and geographic conditions without modification or necessary adaptations; without resulting in any evolutionary changes within?  In that case the virus needs to be very harmful to India as like how it is in USA and European countries.  Can we dismiss such possibility or vice versa?  Fortunately the vice versa situation has not happened so far in India.

How can we assume a simple secondary pathogen could affect almost all parts of our body but in a very small fraction of the population and could remain ‘helpless and hopeless’ in vast majority of population (about 85%)? 

Should we not ask the question and ask how a country can justify nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of such virus that would ultimately results in killing our economy, life and livelihood of millions of people?  Can we keep excuse our ignorance under the catchy phrase called novel coronavirus as ‘novel’, new to you, me and to everyone?

The above question raises a new evolutionary possibility that may be happening with novel coronavirus. 

The novel coronavirus may be finding more ‘mongooses or Virginia opossums and not rat situation’ in India?   

The expression ‘mongoose’ and rat is used only to convey the message in a most humorous way because messaging sometime warrants a bit of humour and pun than tough to understand scientific jargons.  The messaging intention should not be muddled with the expression of mongoose or rat and such expression is not meant to demean Homo sapiens.  

 

Genetically and anatomically mongoose and Virginian opossum are resistant to snake venom.  Even if the animal receives snake bit even from king cobra or black mamba, still can escape because of ‘certain’ venom neutralizing factors found in the body.  The world has described and sketched the novel coronavirus as ‘most deadly’ snake and that moves very fast across the population.   Then the question is why such deadly serpent could go timid, meek and harmless to about 85% of the population and could harm only a very small fraction of people who suffer from various severe co-morbidity conditions? 

Does that mean only those who suffer from severe co-morbidity conditions alone could provide ‘rat situation’ to the corona serpent?   If such possibility cannot be dismissed or denied means, should we start converting the ‘rat situation’ to ‘mongoose situation’ or else lockdown the country, deny the freedom, independence and dignity to all those people who are resistant to the virus, kill the economy, life and livelihood and call such gesture as divine act to save humanity?  ‘Who really falls under the above phrase ‘humanity’? 

Is the elderly age of our ruling political class feel that they may be easily targeted by corona serpent and hence paralyze India, kill the life and livelihood, destroy the economy but protect ‘own life’? 

The young India must wakeup to this reality and must elect only the younger prime minister contestant in future and not those above 55 years of age.   The political vision of our Super Star gains great significance to our future India. 

Also think of a weak, coalition government and not a political party with absolute majority is safe for our democracy and federal structure of India. 

India needs a considerate, benevolent government to save our pluralistic and federal nature and not a dictator, promotion of cow urine therapy and research proposal of Ganga water for treating COVID 19.

Next government must be guided by Dr Subramanian Swami and P Chidambaram as defacto Prime Ministers and Finance Ministers of the ‘young government’ to save our economy and livelihood issues.  For building a new nation, people must bring their expertise and must burry their personal differences or past enmity.  The present government has destroyed India’s economy and only the brilliant brains like Dr Sunbramanian Swamy, P Chidambaram, Gurumurthy, Raghuram Rajan from behind the scene can save India through a new young government. 

Let us now come to another aspect of the medical science.  Is the novel coronavirus come to serve as a new medical Kaleidoscope to tell how vulnerable are those who suffer from various co-morbidity conditions? 

The novel coronavirus is said to infect and damage all most every organ in our body. Starting from dropping oxygen in blood, clot the blood, trigger inflammatory reactions, respiratory distress and pneumonia, blots both lungs, attacks the heart, weakens its muscles, disrupt critical rhythm, attacks kidneys, crawls nervous system, destroys smell and taste, reaches brain, cause gastrointestinal symptoms, reduce blood pressure, target directly the endothelial cells in blood vessel, cytokine storm, targets ACE2 receptor……. shows diverse pathological and clinical manifestations between patient to patient. 

All the above pathologies have been observed in the autopsy of patients who died due to COVID 19 and the presence of the virus was observed in many cases.  Was the presence of the virus incidental, it had remained as mute witness or the virus is the real villain, not yet established scientifically. 

Then another pertinent question also we must ask to the medical fraternity.  Is the novel coronavirus serves as medical Kaleidoscope; shows how vulnerable are those who suffer from various co-morbidity conditions. 

Is that means the entire immune architecture or interior design of the immune defence mechanism in those who suffer from various co-morbid conditions are like house of cards?  

In the case of house of cards game, the cards are precariously balanced to stand erect with the support of the other and when one card is if gently rocked or disturbed, the entire house may fall down like wave, falling one card after the other. 

Is it, the immune surveillance in the vulnerable group suddenly spurs the immune cascade effects with the onset of the entry of the virus that leads to multi organ failure?  The death is more due to the cascade effect where the possibility that the virus is only a witness and not the villain?  We do not know the fact yet.

Did our medical and scientific world not aware of such cascade – house of cards arrangement of the immune defence system in the victim group until the entry of novel coronavirus?  If that were true, does than no mean, novel coronavirus has done a great service to humanity, prepares our medical team to launch new array of researches to mitigate future challenges?

If novel coronavirus is truly a pathogen of such high order means how it would spare about 85% of population unharmed?

Should we not ask all such questions instead of keep accusing and abusing the poor novel coronavirus?  How we can save India or humanity by imposing lockdown and then make the whole country runs after the virus? 

The irony is that when the virus refuse or fail to harm majority of our population, our government declares all such people as most harmful to the vulnerable group and hence quarantine them.  Is it to justify such unscientific act, the medical community hypes the possible house of cards immune defence mechanism of all those co-morbid group to be caused by the virus and if asks for proof, novelty of the virus is used as easy excuse………

How long India has to endure this pain?  Hope soon the years would rush and 2024 would come fast….. Democracy and livelihood both would return after 2024 let us celebrate such day if we survive such long starvation, loss of livelihood, unemployment, economic disaster….. In all probability, coronavirus may not harm us as much as the lockdown.
