Novel coronavirus, sudden discovery or hired ‘scarecrow’ to save medical science from Kwashiorkor

Asking some irrational and even irresponsible questions also sometime may help us to understand the ground realities especially when our mind behaves like the needle of a field compass, always moves and shows only one direction irrespective of the position of the compass. 

Today we are living with an irrevocable conclusion; we are so determined and adamant that everything on earth is happening due to novel coronavirus. 

No disease exists today other than COVID 19, no pathogen exists today other than novel coronavirus and the human death is not possible if there is no coronavirus……

The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the places we go, the people with whom we interact, the newspaper we read the Television channel that we watch…. why even in our private thoughts and thinking, only corona is present and is only dominating. 

We are artfully programmed to assume and fear that our death is certain if we cross coronavirus and if we escape death due to some luck, still we may cause death of someone who is susceptible by transferring the virus to them. 

To kill coronavirus, we are even willing to kill people through programmed starvation called lockdown, loss of livelihood and total destruction of economy but still our government would want to run only after coronavirus and doesn’t mind people’s other acute problems due to lockdown like loss of livelihood etc. 

The medical science (all constituents of the big commercial game), especially in India started to suffer trust deficit in the last two decades, is considered as polluted as our politics and governance, perceived to be filled with stinking corruption (example – why Modi scrapped MCI). 

Ignorance, fear mongering, use scarecrow to exploit poor people, over charge, subject the patients to go for unwarranted surgery and other medical procedures, go for unwanted diagnosis in the name of defensive medicine…. all these have been happening in our health care sector like how corruption exists in our politics.  The rampant corruption and deceit in medical profession dealing with lives of poor people is obvious, ominous but is also ‘cleverly invisible’ as novel coronavirus in symptom free host.

The medical science has indeed solved several deadly diseases in the past and has brought out several medicines for many deadly diseases and all such inventions were although praised by everyone, but unfortunately the medical science could not enjoy them fully well because of the fact that the medical science can exist and grow only when an acute medical problem remains without any solution. 

When such situation is created or happened so naturally, the medical science can play several dances like salsa, ball etc., thorough their ‘virtual inventions’ for preventive, promotive, curative, prophylactic, acute management purposes.

Just by decreasing the blood glucose level in the global scale of the blood glucose limit (post prandial and fasting), our medical science can easily make several millions of more people as diabetic, overnight.  Similarly by checking the CD4, CD8 cell count by making a new norm, several people can be easily declared as immune-compromised, under severely rick of developing many diseases etc.  Just change the scale or measurement procedure, everyone can be brought under one risk category or other. 

When people gone healthy, suddenly the medical science brought a new norm that after 45 or 50 years, it is good to go for yearly master health check-up so that the possible lifestyle diseases can be diagnosed early and can be delayed.  Through such check-ups, people can be told that their cholesterol level is high, sugar level is quite fluctuating, BP is not following the order, ECG shows slight deviation, liver function is not full, slight ulceration is seen in the intestine, bronchial hyper responsiveness is observed etc., so that accordingly the people can be advised to continue medication rest of their life and finally make them feel and think as real patient. 

Our medical science has advanced greatly till date only to predict the health risk but the question is has it developed enough wisdom to predict death and how to prevent the death or how to bring a dead man back to life or create a new man with all that constitutes that make our body (chemicals)?    In the absence of any of the above possibilities, what the medical science can do at best is reduce our sufferings and offer cure from certain diseases, nothing more and nothing less.

Due to the erosion of Hippocratic Oath in our medical science at large, the common man has started to move away from treatment to how to enhance health and wellbeing.  Due to huge medical expense and possible exploitation by medical science, people started to consult the doctor only when they could not manage the problem and until then, they would manage the problem at home. 

As a result of the above reality that is creeping and colonizing in the medical science, the medical science has started to suffer from financial malnutrition (limitation in exploitation) and progressively moving toward what is called Kwashiorkor.   The big question is whether novel coronavirus was discovered suddenly or the virus is hired cleverly to save the medical science from financial malnutrition due to lack of exploitation scope, need a detailed ‘Psycoscopy’. 

Today it looks like many are dying due to COVID 19 but the question is whether the death was exclusively due to COVID 19? If we pose such question, the answer would come like how those who practice and promote grandma’s kitchen healing recipes and village healer folks from the traditional school of healing would answer the question on the scientific validity of their recipes or treatment.  Instead of answering the question directly, vaid group would pose counter questions and finally dodge the main question and then would express anger to close the discussion. 

The medical science has made us believe the existence of novel coronavirus, COVID 19 and death due to the above so blindly like how we believe in God and in reality no one has seen the God and God has never rescued anyone from their real problem. 

What a pitiable situation we have created today.  Science has taken ‘fear’ to rescue itself from tough questioning.  How the world bought the ‘fear’ projected by the epidemiological model of Professor Neil Ferguson from London who predicted that coronavirus transmission would cause 250,000 deaths if social distancing norms and lockdown were not imposed in UK and later had to resign for breaking his own prescription for the sake of his girlfriend.

Modi bought a wrong horse for India.  Mistakes do happen.  But Modi should admit his collective mistake and must abandon the horse called lockdown.  Must apologize to people for causing severe hardship, loss of livelihood due to the senseless lockdown which had achieved nothing expect destruction of India.

Instead of asking the questions like was the virus engineered or lab made, was it been discovered by our medical science to rescue itself from Kwashiorkor?  Once the medical fear at global level (body and mind level) is created, tagged the fear in the nucleus of our every cell, future for the medical science would be great.  Because for every medical problem, people may rush to a doctor so that our medical science can always go for European vacation. 

The message of the poem “Ode on a distant prospect of Eton College’ by Thomas Gray is extremely meaningful and scientific that is ‘where ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise it’. 

But our medical science neither want people to be totally ignorant nor medically too intelligent.   We must be ‘in-between’ should doubt and worry everything, become hypochondriac, hysterical in our health protection and always we must keep our doctor at arm’s length and not an apple.   Whether we live or die due to our disease, our medical science would live forever. If we live, success can be claimed and if we die, fear can be infused upon the next person.  Any way the universal law that death cannot be stopped is there to cite for defense. 

If, we the people of India not willing to realize the bitter truth that our health and well being is in our hand; our thoughts, food habits, overall awareness etc., alone can bring a difference in our life, only then we can overcome our undue fear.

Whichever the form death comes to us, we must accept the eternal truth that, that is how we are destined to die.  If we accept this spiritual truth, no medical science can scare us or fear us, so shall novel coronavirus. 

Fear is not the remedy; we must be cautious and careful.  Who knows coronavirus could be a novel discovery of medical science to save itself from death.  How a medical science that uses the virus (if the assumption is true) to save itself from death, can prevent our death?   

From the evolutionary point of view, no virus can evolve to kill everyone on earth but with an exception that it would spare about 80% and would target only those who suffer from acute co-morbidity conditions. 

Modi has imposed lockdown without any thinking and the lockdown has destroyed India. 

Our strength also can destroy us at times is the message we must derive from Modi.  If India is ruled by multi-party, coalition government means, India would have been safe, our democracy would flourish and so shall our economy and federal structure because no coalition government by multi-party system can act in an autocratic manner.

Let the pain of lockdown keep our memory afresh, from 2024 onwards, let us save India by electing a weak, coalition government headed by several regional parties.  There will be no lockdown and there will be no corona as well that can destroy our economy and livelihood.
