Man the best host, guest and safe haven for new pathogens, lesson for acceptance

The hullaballoo and hallelujah over novel coronavirus by the world is far from over.  No sensible person on earth (a general expression) would ever dare to speak truth if such truth is going to affect his or her profit and gains in long run and therefore the novel coronavirus would stay in all probability, forever, thanks to the sense and sensibility of the word called science.

Now a new sister or brother of the novel coronavirus – a new mutant has been discovered in UK and which is claimed to be more infectious and or virulent than the old one.   Interestingly the vaccine that is being developed against the old virus may not work against the new mutant because the type of immune protection the developed vaccine likely to offer to the host against the new mutant is quite quixotic and doubtful.

It means, another vaccine to protect man against the new mutant is inevitable.

More science is going to happen, scientists are going to be busy and so shall the Pharmaceutical companies.

As usual, the academic research centres are going to add their best to the cauldron to increase the vagueness, uncertainty, doubt and confusion.   Academic research is always good at doing what they are best at, cause confusion and never give any conclusive end point.

When the ancient philosophers and scholars promoted the ethos of clarity and clarifications as path to success and eternity, modern day science seems to do the opposite because by providing clarity and sense of reasoning to others would promote only their life in a better way whereas creating confusion and doubt over others will increase own value and merit. Fie, our modern day medical science has reduced to such level.

Today as much as we chase either the existing novel coronavirus or the new UK mutant sister or brother of the existing virus, the countries and pharmaceutical companies across the world are also chasing vaccine development and leaders of some counties even take pride in their vaccine, the timelines taken for developing the same, the scientific merit of their think tank etc., possibly for some political mileage.

The point to be remembered is that, with or without vaccine, the novel coronavirus is going to stay and its visible mother- the so called Homo sapiens is going to ‘produce’ several of its new sisters and brothers or cousins or remotely even the colonial cousins to sustain the self -gratification of ‘SOME’.

The common man needs to understand the entire theatrics a little from the evolutionary or biological perspective to keep their ears and mind away from the so called incredible ‘science’.

No species of life on earth enjoys as much luxury as man.  In utterly cold climates, man enjoys the warmth of oven, in hot, tyrant dessert, employs air conditioning system, have designed the food to suites to the climate, modified the living conditions, stitches dresses accordingly, have medicines to treat / manage almost every disease etc.  Such an exalted position of man is going to envy every new life form that is likely to evolve in future.  All most all species of life have to adapt, systematically bring changes within to adjust to the changes in the climatic conditions and based on the food availability etc.  All such changes are happening largely at anatomic, physiological, biochemical, endocrinological levels in all most all life forms although some may take strong exception to single cell organism.

Imagine, if a microbe finds man means, it has attained its ultimate salvation from the biological point of view because, in man, for such species, by co-habiting or entering into a parasitic or commensal or symbiotic relationship, the species gains everything without any effort or expenditure of energy.  Perhaps, this sense would have entered better with novel coronavirus and hence it has invaded man and has brought out its best – the new mutant.

Imagine if the virus remains in its original reservoir, along with the reservoir (bet is bat or pangolin or any other species of animal), the virus also has to endure winter, summer, autumn etc.  Further, along with the seasonal adaptations happening within the host species, the virus also may warrants to bring some changes within it.  It means, the microbe must constantly adapt essentially to remain ‘alive’ more than to procreate and sustain the future generation.

Whereas in man, not such threat or uncertainty the species is going to face conspicuously due to the fact that man seldom adapts to the environment and instead destroys the environment for his comfort and convenience, manipulate the micro habitat accordingly.

Therefore, in man, the microbe need not worry about its survival, can comfortably focus on procreation, increase the vigour of the future strains, increase its spreadability or communicability etc.  That is why the new mutant reported from UK is claimed to be more communicable than more deadly.

By blocking the passengers from UK, testing them or quarantine them are only symptomatic gestures to prevent the virus, because when the virus can mutate so well in UK, why not in India or any other part of the world?  The entry of the mutated strain from UK at best we may prevent but can we prevent the likely mutants emerging in India or can we claim such mutation would never happen in the virus that is already there in India?

Time has come; we must forget the virus and must discard the notion that the virus is going to kill humanity, going to cause great morbidity etc.

Economy and development must prevail over everything and not the scientific myth and scientific fallacy of a few vested science or obscurant red ant chutney as remedyhttps://www.news18.com/news/india/red-ants-chutney-to-treat-covid-19-ayush-ministry-csir-to-take-a-call-3236456.html

Any new pathogen if finds man may stay with him because man is the safest haven for any such pathogen because of the obvious biological and evolutionary reasons.

When human population expands in leaps and bounds in every inch of the globe, let us be dutiful to support the life of a few microbes whether it is pathogen or friendly microbe, let them perish if they turns harsh on their host because along with the host they too will perish.  When the pathogen takes the middle path by not harming the large proportion of the population, let us allow the pathogen to live with us or let us try to contain it without damaging our economy.  That should be the wise step and not making hue and cry over nothing just to benefit the medical business to bloom at the expense of innocent people.

  1. Your bold statement will isolate you from so called Scientific Experts of this business era , even levelling you anti science or criminal in the UK ,where my current home of residence but Hopefully common sense will prevail and people will see through this notion. One thing surprise me a lot in UK hospital beds are maxed out in some parts and death is over 60K but in my home country Bangladesh with list healthcare services yet to reach 10k death toll. It doesn't add up. Something not right!!! Dear I say , I doubt experts. Well I am sceptical at least.
