Deal between COVID and black fungus or COVID come as super-employer of our medical system?

 

Whether COVID is really spreading in leaps and bounds in India or not, but our mind is fully filled by COVID fear and therefore it is quite easy for the medical science to declare everyone who go to hospital for treatment are positive for COVID or else must be suffering from some COVID associated complications.   

The black fungus or Mucor is a well-known plant pathogen.  In fact, Mucor doesn’t even affect plants so commonly but the fungus can be easily isolated from most of the plants.  Even in our house or work place or bed room etc., this fungus will be floating around and can be easily isolated.  Now the question is why such a ubiquitous fungus infects people either during COVID infection in the hospital or after recovery from COVID? 

Today it looks like, anyone dies in India is swiftly declared due to COVID by our medical system and that is the perception being created. 

Those who recover from COVID and later if they get infected by Mucor, a well-known plant pathogen, it raises several questions. 

Why the COVID virus invites Mucor, a plant pathogen to infect its host after the host recovers from COVID infection?  Does that mean COVID and Mucor have made an open deal?  Or else, is the COVID virus kills all other pathogens like Malaria, Typhoid, Cholera, Hepatitis, Mycobacterium etc., and no pathogen is there to infect the people post COVID despite lowered immunity and hence the plant pathogen Mucor has occupied the space?  Then we must ask another important question that even if COVID could not kill its host, it does not wants to leave the host so easy and hence it invites Mucor to attack the host? 

If immune suppression due to COVID is the reason then why many other immune suppressed people do not get infected by Mucor so easily?  How many HIV patients in the past have got infected by Mucor?  Is COVID the real problem of India or our medical system is the problem which hypes the fear for its fortune? Our media houses are also doing its best to our medical system by hyping the fear.

If COVID eliminates all other pathogen means, is it good or bad? Although some of the above questions may sound sometime irritating and irrational, but we must corner our medical system brutally with all such questions and only then true science and rationalism will grow in our country.  

Every COVID patient will be desperate to get cured of COVID and would therefore look for treatment.  Therefore any responsible government must do everything possible to offer the best treatment to people and save their life.  But our government should not limit its responsibility by contracting COVID management totally to medical science.  If such strategy is adopted, fear mongering and black fungus story only shall afloat from our medical system and no true science will ever come out. 

If we study the virus in detail, we will able to correlate the findings in several ways to understand the following such as

a)     In how many cases, we could confirm virus positivity but no lung infiltration

b)     In how many cases severe lung infiltration but RT-PCR is negative for COVID

c)     Whether the above pattern is associated with the virus or the inherent immunity of host and other details such as age, medical fitness and other behavioural aspects like alcoholism etc., linked to the above  

Imagine, there are patients with severe lung infiltration but RT-PCR test is negative for virus, such situation will make us understand about the role of other pathogens in lung infiltration?  Further, a detailed study also would help us to understand if the lung infiltration is by COVID virus but nasal and throat swabs turns negative for COVID, then what about the chance of all those patients transmitting the virus to others? 

HIV, HBV etc., does not transmit from one person to other by direct contact or air.  If lung infiltration is very rare but the positivity is high in nasal or throat swab for a given strain of COVID virus means, should we adopt lockdown strategy in our country to prevent such virus?   The former were true, again we can easily question the irrational lockdown and killing our economy? 

Our medical system is not trained for research or to grasp the scientific understanding of the disease or the pathogen.  They are trained to just diagnose the disease and treat the same with the list of drugs or else do surgery.

Our medical system is nothing but a mere consumer and a parasite of western medical research and development and hence our medical fraternity would adopt only cut, copy and paste approach and other than that they do not know anything else.   Every observation mostly our present day medicos in general would know to correlate only with the findings of the western science and never would know how to fit the same to our context.  The above expression is made in general sense and the exceptions are excluded.

When the western medical science reports of severe immune chaos in COVID patient and the possibility of some secondary infection post recovery means, our medicos also may show enthusiasm to prove they too have encountered similar situation and hence the Mucor would have been coronated.  The horrible rate of contamination of the COVID ward would have resulted in Mucor problem and need not be due to COVID.  But our medical system would adopt only the easiest logic and never will do any detailed scientific analysis or understanding of the situation. 

Time has come, our nation must ask, can we afford to destroy our economy in the name of preventing COVID and saving humanity?  COVID is only just 5% of our problem and 95% is fear created by our medical system, media houses and political class.  If we follow the necessary precaution, that is enough to prevent COVID.  COVID fear and fear of death only kills more people than COVID virus.  

Let our medical system serve patients and not science and let us not make our medical science ‘be all and end all’ knowledge centre of COVID.
