Wonder drug of Baba Ramdev is much needed slap to science and medicine for being ‘hem and haw’

Kudos to Baba Ramdev for introducing a wonder drug to offer 100% cure to the global pandemic COVID 19! 

The purpose of the article is not to delayer the science and merit of the claim or the drug that was introduced by Baba Ramdev.  The sole objective of the article is to expose the situations and the compelling realities that were created purely by our medical science and the so called scientists’ conglomerate for Baba Ramdev to invent and hurriedly advertise his wonder drug.

There is a famous saying, what we cannot solve and comprehend, we should never over-hype or exaggerate. 

  

Our scientists and medical fraternity behaved like ‘Alice’ by treating novel coronavirus as wonderland. 

They attempted to caricature a petty pick-picketer – coronavirus as fugitive has not only brought disgrace to science but also destroyed the economy and livelihood of millions of people. 

Any straight question if we ask to WHO (World Health Organization) or ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) or other parallel medical and scientific bodies, only an evasive and slippery answer would come.  In the recent times, WHO has behaved more like a Salamander, so slippery and wishy-washy.   All they could suggest was lockdown the nation; conduct more tests, quarantine etc., to arrest the spread of the virus. 

Pertinent questions such as whether the novel coronavirus is a true pathogen and would it cause mortality, is the disease caused by the virus so deadly,  no clear answer will ever come from WHO or other parallel advisory bodies.

Do we have treatment for the disease and how different is the disease from other viral infections, no clarity.  

How long WHO and all other allied cohort bodies can play hide and seek game and can repeat that they are studying the virus.  If they are still studying the virus and their studies are not yet completed, why then they hyped the virus as deadly pathogen and suggested lockdown as the only option to prevent the spread of the virus.

No one needs to doubt the fact that India is a very densely populated country, cannot follow strict social distancing norms due to several practical reasons, already many people are living with several co-morbid conditions, people are quite poor, lack awareness etc. 

If we analyse the number of people screened by different states in India and the number for positive cases of the virus, only then we will understand the real picture.  All those people screened so far were suspected to be positive based on contact tracing and even in such definite group, the percentage of positivity hasn’t exceeded 10%. 

How come those who definitely come in contact with the positive cases show negativity for the virus and that too in large numbers (nearly 90%).  Does that mean the virus is not contagious or the initial carrier of the virus did not shed heavy load of the virus to infect others or the virus is least infective or the people are so resistant? 

In true sense, instead of 10% positivity out of the total number of people screened, we should have got 60 or 70% of people screened should have been positive for the virus, by now.  But such situation has not happened so far and such situation is never going to happen also. 

But unfortunately we are dusting our house to keep the American street clean. 

We made too much out of coronavirus.  Our medical fraternity and scientists have exposed their ignorance, innocence and Hamlet leadership traits which our spiritual leader – yoga guru, Baba Ramdev cleverly used.  

When science takes pride to display its indecisiveness and lack of clarity, naturally the ‘country’ courage and occultism would spring its surprise and would steal the show. 

Only the doubting mind of Othello, Iago exploited, only the “to be or not to be” state of Hamlet, the ghost used to its favour.  

How long our science and medical fraternity can say they are not clear about coronavirus.  Science needs complete understanding and only then it can provide all details.  But until then the medical science could have avoided hyping the growing corona positive cases and could have stopped influencing directly or indirectly influence the politics in India to go for lockdown. 

Like hopeless people, naturally the political establishments also would move towards ‘country courage’ and occultism to explore and experiment.   When the disease is hyped due to ignorance and when the possibility of the disease getting cured even without any treatment is high, science and medical fraternity must pay heavy price to ‘country courage’ and occultism. 

When the science and medical fraternity create mountain out of molehill, God man, Babas’, Sri Sris’, Sadgurus, fortune teller, country healer, palmist, astrologer etc., would enter the scene and would steal the gallows.  The helpless people and politicians would go as mere cheerleaders to occultism and obscurant healing practices.  That is universal law. 

Baba Ramdev has gifted a body blow to our medicine and science for selling ignorance, too long. 

NOW THE QUESTION IS, WILL MODI REVOKE LOCKDOWN BECAUSE HIS FRIEND BABA RAMDEV HAS INVENTED A WONDER DRUG TO CURE COVID 19, 100% 

When the global scientific community nearly 6 months keep studying the virus after recommending the entire world to go for lockdown and still repeat its helplessness and ask for the continuation of the lockdown, naturally several Baba’s would enter the scene with their path breaking invention and wonder remedy to offer 100% cure for COVID 19.

Baba Ramdev through his scientific invention not only made India a joke, but also exposed the ignorance and hem and haw leadership of science and medicine.  Even to make such a joke at our nation, one needs courage.  Instead of questioning Baba Ramdev, we must pity our science and medicine and express our deep condolences.  

Who has created such situation, WHO should ask and answer only to WHO!. 

Everyday WHO releases newer and newer twists about coronavirus and COVID 19 like a TV serial with a foot note that …..to be continued

By hyping coronavirus so high, science and medicine has made joke of itself, lost credibility and the trust of people and allowed people to accept that the spiritual masters and fortune tellers are better than scientists and doctors. 

The question is not about the time taken by scientists to understand the virus in detail, but why the scientists hyped the virus bigger than life image before they acquire sufficient knowledge about the virus?  Why they recommended lockdown to save humanity?

Why only 10% of people turned positive for the virus in the total number of people screened?  In a country like India, should we not expect at least 3-4 crore people positive for the virus by now?  Does that not mean the virus may be our figment of imagination born out of ignorance and fear?

Is the coronavirus alone causes mortality?  Was India free of any pathogens before the advent of novel coronavirus and hence we have to eliminate novel coronavirus and once the virus is eliminated, India would be free of germs? 

Sadism, ego, cruelty, greed for power, money etc., by several ‘undeserved’ sitting in coveted position only has caused the great tragedy called novel coronavirus and COVID 19. 

But this is the first time in the history of the world where ignorance and sacrilege of all scientific principles of the so called scientists and medical fraternity has taken the country to utter hopelessness and self-immolation. 

Politicians stole the show from scientists and medical fraternity due to the hem and haw approach of science and now the same hem and haw leadership style of our politicians opened the door for the yoga guru Baba Ramdev to advertise his medical wonder.  Soon the country will be opened to country healers also. 

The ‘country courage’ has realized that corona is nothing but a ‘fear fiction’ of scientists and medical fraternity to cover up the ignorance and hence the ‘country courage’ can rampage the situation. 

Coronavirus may have ‘some’ level of infectivity, but killing everyone who is infected by the virus is not true. Further in India, the spread of the virus doesn’t look even and uniform and instead what we see is a mosaic pattern of spread.

Baba is now proven right thanks to the ‘poor infectivity of the viruses which our scientists either do not want to accept or haven not understood.  Therefore the Baba is likely to have his day and the science and medicine have to walk on the pavement to catch frog and cockroach to scare the world. 

When scientists and medical fraternity does not know anything about coronavirus, they should not have hyped it.   Novel coronavirus may commit suicide instead of getting exposed to Baba’s wonder drug; in any case, the suicide of the virus would give an extra mileage to Baba and not to the scientists. 

At least hereafter, our medical fraternity must follow Hippocrates oath, should not push poor people to shell out their money on unwanted diagnosis, treatment, surgery etc.   If they continue, Modi may appoint Baba’s or Sri Sris’ or Sadhgurus’ as head of ICMR, AIIMS, PGIMER etc.  That day doesn’t look far away.

People need clarity and solution and not scientific theories and daily updates.  If solution is not available, until then the science should not sell fear and if science fails to recognise the bitter truth, naturally the country healers will make wonder drugs and once again the science and medicine has to stand and stare as Alice at Baba.
